Hamann’s power parade at “Top Marques 2016”

Hamann, the car refiner from Laupheim, Germany presents three masterpieces at the luxury fair “Top Marques” in Monaco

  • The car refiner from Laupheim, Germany presents three masterpieces at the luxury fair “Top Marques” in Monaco
  • The focus is on the powerful SUV based on the X6 M model coming in a wide-body design – with bonnet made of visible carbon fibre, fascinatingly athletic appearance and an output boosted to up to 640 hp/471 kW
  • Hamann Motorsport also gives the X4 a new, dynamic face – and of course some additional power: the xDrive35d is brought to up to 381 hp/280 kW
  • Another highlight for SUV enthusiasts is the exclusive wide-body model based on the BMW X6 M Diesel with power advancement to 462 hp/340 kW.

Laupheim, 13 April 2016. Under the patronage of Prince Albert, “Top Marques” Monaco will open its doors from 14-17 April 2016. For years, the car refiner from Laupheim has been among the exhibitors – many customers and fans of extraordinary premium vehicles from the Mediterranean region and whole Europe use Top Marques to “move closer” to the current Hamann innovations. The Swabian company demonstrates absolute premium quality in car refinement in the form of three model worth seeing.

Hamann Motorsport adds a very special final touch to the X6 M. X6 M owners for whom the appearance of the “off-the-peg” model is not impressive enough, are now perfectly equipped with a new wide-body kit. The standard model’s driving performance already takes one’s breath away – following its tradition, the premium tuner even steps up a gear: Hamann Motorsport fires the first rocket stage with an electronic power advancement module that brings the X6 M to up to 640 hp/471 kW at 6 000 rpm. Also impressive: the torque that lets the X6 M sprint with 840 Nm at 2 000-5 000 rpm on a par with sportscars such as the Porsche 911 Turbo or the AMG GTS. The second stage is fired by modifying the standard exhaust system to a downpipe system with a 300-cell sports catalytic converter. With this comprehensive performance cure Hamann ensures a total of 700 hp/515 kW and a torque of up to 900 Nm at 2 200-5 000 rpm.

Hamann also establishes the BMW X4 as a star

As particularly sporty crossover, the BMW X4 has attracted many fans within a very short time – with good reason as the city four wheeler enthuses with responsive handling and top performance. However, anyone who knows Hamann Motorsport knows that this is not the end of the rope – more is more in Laupheim. In time for the launch of the new X4 M40i, Hamann makes available its individualisation kit for the compact car from Munich and all engine variants.

As always with Hamann, particularly striking is the self-confident aerodynamics kit with the powerfully shaped front spoiler that the car refiner from Laupheim self-confidently named “Competition”. Not for nothing, because this way the X4 presents itself especially sporty, individual and almost aggressive: with the rear trim panel harmoniously integrated into the standard rear, Hamann provides the stylish backdrop for the sport rear muffler that ensures a worthy sound. This is produced by the four tailpipes with a diameter of 90 millimetres and made of premium stainless steel with HAMANN logo. Above all, there is the elegant rear wing with lateral carbon-fibre elements in racing look.

You can never have enough power, the BMW refiners think. Hence, Hamann Motorsport offers supplementary control units for differing engines: a great deal is possible – the xDrive20d can be boosted to up to 231 hp/170 kW, the xDrive35d to up to 381 hp/280 kW (standard value: 313 hp/230 kW at 4 400 rpm). A torque of 760 Nm is achieved at 1 500-2 500 rpm, which pushes the X4 enormously and even exceeds the performance data of the new X4 M40i. By the way: Hamann Motorsport customers can simply relax and enjoy this performance as all power packages are offered including insurance cover now.

Perfectly shaped: powerful Hamann SUV based on X6 Md

The wide-body refinement kit for the BMW X6 F16 Md has impressed since 2015 already. The imposing all-wheel model is everything but reluctant – even for Monegasque standards: lowered and with worthy 23-inch light-alloy wheels wide apart that perfectly underline the X6’s potent appearance. Following its tradition, premium tuner Hamann also steps up a gear in terms of power: the presented Hamann model based on the M50d impresses with a power advancement to up to 462 hp/340 kW at 4 400 rpm. Not only the “power infusion” of 79 hp compared to the standard model, but also the maximum torque entails “danger of addiction”: brute 890 Nm instead of 740 Nm at 2 000–3 000 rpm already.

All cars and refinement kits demonstrated in Monaco are ready for order already and are promptly available, depending on the delivery time of the basis models.
